On the stroke of midnight, during a hellish thunderstorm, a scream echoes through the sleepy village of Tempelhof.
You rush out to investigate and find the beloved local storyteller has been murdered, their body hanging limp from the clocktower. As blood drips onto the cobblestones below, a realisation slowly dawns… a demon has been unleashed, killing by night and taking on human form by day. Can the good people of Tempelhof find the demon in time and fry it over the BBQ later? Or will evil overrun this once peaceful village with the good folks finding themselves on the wrong end of the spit?
What is this game?
Blood on the Clocktower is a game that transforms ordinary players into good townsfolk and an evil demon with his minions. Imagine a gathering of 5-20 souls, seated in a circle, each granted a token of either good or evil intention. The good players must collaborate, piecing together fragments of truth, while the evil players weave intricate webs of deception.
The objective is brutal in its simplicity: Good must expose and execute the demon before it eliminates the entire village. Evil wins by sowing chaos, spreading mistrust, and watching the community devour itself.
For those uninitiated in the dark arts of social deduction, fear not. We will guide you through the shadows, introducing the arcane rules and helping you navigate this treacherous landscape. Introductions will be available in both English and German, as required. The gameplay will be in English. A 10-minute video tutorial awaits those who wish to prepare, offering a glimpse into the game's intricate mechanics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-aZP47Nm9g
A single round can last from 20 minutes to two hours, with the entire gathering spanning approximately four hours. We welcome young adventurers aged 15 and above, and have designed flexible roles for those with uncertain schedules or time constraints.
After 1-2 rounds of finding demons and torturing villagers, we are also inviting you to an open ended BBQ in the village green to celebrate the victories and mourn the dead.
Drinks will be provided, and we invite each participant to bring a morsel of sustenance to share. A fully equipped kitchen stands ready to support our gathering of potential heroes and hidden monsters.
